Hi Sir, My father is having creatinine point is 11 and it is suddenly increased in 3 days. He was taking medicines with the Nepro doctor consultaion. Now Doctor is suggesting to do the dialysis as he is struggling with wheezing problem. My father is scared of doing dialysis and he is worried if he needs to do life long. Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Dialysis is indicated if serum creatinine is more than 9 mg% or BUN (blood urea nitrogen) exceeds a certain value (e.g.,100 mg/dL). Wheezing may be due to incipient Heart failure causing interstitial pulmonary edema. Your Nephrologist reamins the best judge for the mangement of acute on chronic renal failure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
